Medicalodges Goddard Ad Creation Contest
Jake Meister, a junior at Goddard High School, received the Certificate of Excellence for Ad Creation and a fifty dollar gift card to the Simon Mall for winning first place in the Medicalodges Ad Creation Contest. Jake was among several high school students who participated in the ad contest created by Amanda Cotton, Regional Director of Community Relations for Medicalodges, Inc. Ms. Rogers’ publications class was provided the Medicalodges logo and logo specifications and given a presentation by Amanda on what Medicalodges Goddard nursing facility’s special amenities were and what a typical day in the life of a resident at Medicalodges entailed. Students were instructed to create an ad to showcase Medicalodges Goddard’s nursing facility, assisted living, or independent apartments.
Jake’s ad was chosen for its originality and outstanding creativity. Ms. Rogers and Amanda will be working together in the fall to provide this opportunity to the students of Goddard High School again. “This is a great way to help students learn what creating professional media ads involve. It helps them understand what a client is looking for in an ad and how to create a usable product. We plan to use Jake’s ad in our future marketing efforts. Look for it in print ads and on our website, www.medicalodgesgoddard.com. All the ads were really great and it was a hard decision. I was amazed at the fantastic work these students submitted, and Ms. Rogers was so supportive in helping to get this started” said Amanda.
