President and CEO’s Message
The timing of the roll-out of the “new” Medicalodges website has been coordinated to coincide with our 50th year of business (we were founded in 1961 as Golden Age Lodges and in 1969 changed our name to Medicalodges, Inc.).
Today we own and operate 23 Skilled Nursing Facilities, two assisted living facilities, residential care facilities, two facilities for the developmentally disabled and various home and community based services with approximately 2,000 employees in Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma. These operations make Medicalodges one of the 50 largest nursing home companies operating in America. Medicalodges was also the first 100% employee owned long-term care businesses in America (1998), and we are, to the best of our knowledge, one of just three that can make that statement.
Medicalodges, because of our small town roots, prides itself on its family-like atmosphere both in the corporate offices as well as in our facilities. We are fortunate that many of our employees have spent much, if not all, of their working careers with Medicalodges.
