New Hope Services for the Developmentally Disabled
New Hope Service, located in Pittsburg and Valley Center, Kansas, provides developmentally disabled clients with the services and support they need to empower them to live independently within their community. Provides person-centered support enabling the individual to live in or return to their own home. Services providing guidance in the improvement of skills related to activities of daily living such as personal grooming household chores, meal preparation, healthcare management, social, safety, and well-being skills. Supported Living assists one to four individuals in a home or apartment in the community. These clients may need anywhere from a few hours of support each day to 24 hour a day supervision.

Provides the individual with valued activities that are person-centered and community integrated. These services may include educational activities, basic skills training and community access. Day Services include activities that provide a sense of participation, accomplishment, and personal reward, thereby increasing independence, productivity and participation within the community.
New Hope Day service offers opportunities that can include socialization, recreation, community inclusion, adult education, and employment choices. Employment opportunities are provided in the areas of record destruction, screen printing, printing, furniture restoration, culinary work, community job placement, and development of individual craft businesses. New Hope of Pittsburg operates Under the Big Top Boutique, a retail store for consumers to purchase the crafts that are produced.
