Every day, employees across our organization go above and beyond for our residents, their colleagues, and the communities we serve. We are proud to celebrate that dedication through two formal award programs, each rooted in the core values that define who we are.

2026 Second Quarter Caring Hands Award Winner

Carol has been with Medicalodges for 29 years and consistently shows her dedication to our residents and her teammates. She always works proactively and looks where she can help. Carol ensured a resident could attend her grandson’s graduation by taking the resident herself. She never says no and ensures no resident goes without by donating new clothes, shoes and even buying favorite snacks for those who do not have much.

Brenton Maltsbarger, Regional Marketing

Brenton was nominated for the Spirit of Service award by employees at Medicalodges Goddard while he was filling in as Executive Director. His leadership inspires others to work together toward a common goal and ensures residents receive the highest level of care. His genuine care for others creates an environment where people feel valued, supported and heard.

  • Kayla embodies Medicalodges core values in performance, attitude, behavior and actions. She fully engages staff in running a smooth facility, no idea is too small or goes unnoticed. Kayla goes above and beyond, even during her off hours promoting Medicalodges Nevada as the facility and employer of choice in her community.

  • Tonya has served Medicalodges as Director of Nursing, Executive Director and Clinical Nurse Consultant. She is a passionate, resident-focused leader in every aspect of her work. Tonya brings energy, heart and a deep commitment to quality care through education igniting employee engagement and resident well-being.

The Caring Hands Award

The Caring Hands Award honors employees in our nursing facilities, assisted living, New Hope Services, and Community Care Connections who truly embody the Medicalodges spirit. Any employee can nominate a colleague for this award.

Recipients are employees who go beyond the requirements of their role, put residents first, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those around them. Quarterly recipients are selected by the Board of Directors and announced in March, June, September, and December. One outstanding recipient is then named the Caring Hands of the Year at our annual stockholder meeting each March.

Quarterly recipients receive a $100 bonus and a Caring Hands certificate. The annual award winner receives a $500 bonus and a Caring Hands plaque. All recipients are celebrated on Medicalodges social media.

Spirit of Service Award

The Spirit of Service Award recognizes the exceptional contributions of our Service Center and Field Services employees. These are the dedicated professionals who support our facilities and make quality care possible behind the scenes. Nominees may be recognized by facility personnel, supervisors, senior leadership, or even external partners, reflecting the broad impact these employees have across the entire organization.

Recipients demonstrate excellence in serving both internal and external customers, take pride in their role at Medicalodges, and contribute meaningfully to the culture and quality of the organization as a whole. Like the Caring Hands Award, quarterly recipients are chosen by the Board of Directors, with an annual Spirit of Service Award of the Year announced each March.
